The honour was a fitting close to an event filled with knockout finishes, slick submissions, and thrilling back-and-forth battles.

West Coast Combat Series 1 was the brainchild of Mandurah local Marcus McKeever, who also runs the Mandurah Combat Sports Academy. McKeever’s vision for the event was brought to life with the support of the City of Mandurah, whose representatives were proudly in attendance. The successful event emphasised the region’s hunger for MMA, with the crowd proving respectful and knowledgeable throughout the evening.

The night was a showcase of martial arts talent and marked the beginning of what could become a staple event for combat sports in Western Australia. With such an overwhelmingly positive response from the audience and competitors alike, it's clear that more events like this are not only needed but are eagerly anticipated.
